Hello new Squadmates, and welcome to Sithrenewal! We're a primarily level 9/10 squad that has opened its doors to new players of all levels. We're here to help you win, and we hope you'll pitch in and do your part to destroy as many rebel bases as possible!
We only have a few simple rules to follow, but we follow them closely:
1) set your game language to English so that you can communicate with other squadmates.
2) request the units you need, and you'll have them. If you use the default "Please send troops," then your squadmates will give you whatever they feel like or have on hand. If you want specific units, feel free to request them. If you don't have much space, heavies are a great choice. If you have a decent amount of space, bikes and snipers are very good for defense (and using against enemy squads when you're attacking bases.) Alloy, credits and contraband cannot be exchanged within this game, so please don't request them.
3) donate whenever possible. Bikes are popular units in this squad, and storms are frequently part of unit requests also. Even most lower level players are able to make these units, so donate what you can. If you are only asking for units and never donating them (even when it is evident that you are online and have the capability of sending those units), you won't last long in this squad.
4) if a squadmate makes a specific request for something (bikes, snipers, ATST, etc.), give only those units which they have requested. If they ask for bikes, don't give them dewbacks. It is better to send nothing than send the wrong units. The more experienced players have very specific needs which are compatible with their loadouts, attack style, and defense. Loading up their squad center (SC) with the wrong units can be very irritating and costly. This seems self-explanatory, but is one of the top two reasons why people get kicked out of this squad.
4) if you intend to donate units, you must announce in the chat which units and to whom you're donating them. Before donating troops (or promising to), check to see if anyone else has promised or delivered troops to that player. If nobody has, announce what you're building for them. If someone has already donated some troops, but not all of them, you can promise to donate some more, or to "top off" the request. If you don't donate within 30 minutes of promising, the other squadmates may disregard your declaration. Donating troops without announcing that you are doing so may leave other players, who are following the rules, with unwanted units in their transports. This problem of "phantom donations" is the other one of the top two reasons why people get kicked out of this squad.
5) it seldom comes up, but squad chat, our Facebook page, and this forum are not the places for discussing religious or political views, or personal problems. Similarly, sexism, racism and other kinds of bigotry aren't welcome in this squad. We have an open and accepting squad culture based around mutual support within gameplay. While some of our players are Facebook friends or otherwise know each other in real life, that is purely between those players, not a concern of the squad.
6) with new Star Wars movies coming out regularly, no spoilers! Some members of the squad go out of their way to avoid teaser trailers and previews, and we therefore try to respect the wishes of those who want to be as surprised as possible. Generally speaking, discussion of new movies here, on our Facebook page or in game chat is avoided for the first 30 days after release.
7) poachers need not apply. Similarly, at this time we are not considering a squad merger.
8) basically, follow the examples of the Officers in this squad, and you'll get the hang of it!
